The big picture

In October 2014, Eagle Hill Consulting set a BHAG, or “big, hairy, audacious goal”: 10x growth in 10 years, while still maintaining their award-winning company culture. They came to c|change for a new visual identity that would support the goal by positioning Eagle Hill as a mid-size firm with the best of both worlds: boutique sensibility and large-firm capabilities. They wanted the identity to reflect their “break away from the expected” philosophy, and convey their bright, creative, and collaborative company culture.

Brand identity: unconventional consulting

We worked with Eagle Hill on a logo, tagline, and brand identity update to embody their brand promise and differentiate them from the competition. In an industry dominated by dark, muted hues, the bold visual elements used across all of Eagle Hill’s brand collateral communicate their bright, creative—and unconventional—company personality.

Like Eagle Hill Consulting themselves, the website we designed is bright, bold, and unconventional. It’s also constantly evolving to keep the brand at the forefront of changing UX best practices and trends, and to spotlight their most recent successes and thought leadership.

As part of their ongoing commitment to culture and engagement, Eagle Hill came to us with an idea for a blog written by employees themselves. The #WeAreEagleHill site gives new hires a voice and a platform for their own experiences with the company’s values in action.

To complement Eagle Hill’s webinars and other self-generated content, c|change produced a series of videos for the company’s various online platforms. To create them, we talked to team members at all levels, including President and CEO Melissa Jezior, about what makes Eagle Hill unconventional.

Making an impact

Having a strong public-facing identity in place helped Eagle Hill set the stage for the next phase of their journey. So far, their progress has been as big and audacious as their BHAG—year-over-year growth of more than 400%. The awards just keep coming in, for both their work and their company culture—more than 16 since 2012, and still counting. Jack’s Playlist is a hit with employees—we hear great feedback whenever we visit—and employees have written around 30 posts for the #WeAreEagleHill blog in just a couple months post-launch. We’re happy to be a part of it all!
